How does it work?

The Razor Electric Drive is an automatic push button, electronically controlled electricdrive. The 'raise' and lower' buttons provide automatic operation of the legs. Prior to use, theRazor Electric Drive needs to be woken up by holding the 'stop' button for 3 seconds. Thelegs are lowered or raised automatically by pushing those buttons. The 'inch' button will lowerthe legs for 20 seconds per push. When the legs hit the ground the Razor Electric Drive willstop. For further lifting, the operator needs to change the leg gearing to low gear, grab the unitand move it in or out to change the leg gearing. Continue to use the Razor Electric Drive toraise the trailer using the 'inch' button. 'lower' can be used, but be aware that it can lift the truckdrive off the ground where the trailer is light. The legs can be returned to their traveling positionby pressing 'raise'. 'Stop' can be used at any time.

How quick is it?

Although the Razor output drive is 30 RPM, different leg brands have different gear ratios,therefore the leg travel speed will vary from brand to brand. Typically, from legs to ground, theRazor will take 30 seconds to 90 seconds. Since Razor is automatic, after the initial 3 secondsthe operator can resume other tasks.

Will it lift a fully loaded trailer?

Yes! By using the two speeds of your jacking legs Razor will lift 25 tonne over the legs.Typically, using a legal load the maximum weight over the legs would be up to 20 tonne.

What type of legs will they fit?

All the 2 speed landing legs on the market, including Holland, Jost Binkley, York, K-Hitch andMaxus.

How much does the unit weigh?

The total weight is 16kg including the power kit.

Does the Razor Electric Drive require servicing?

Periodic lubrication of the torque arm to allow the changing of the leg gear is all that is required.The Razor Electric Drive is a sealed unit and completely waterproof. It is also fully factoryserviceable.

What about battery life?

The battery supplied is a maintenance free, sealed for life battery, that can be mounted in anyorientation. Given correct installation and operation the battery will last for many years. The unit also has a charge light indicator.

Where is it made?

It is designed and manufactured in Melbourne, Australia and is Australian owned.

How does the battery stay charged?

Within Razor's smart electronics is a battery charging circuit. It requires approximately 2amps from trailer harness. The input voltage range is 8 to 30 volts DC.

The charge has 2 inputs so it can change from AUX and lights (parkers)

Where should I connect the charging wire?

The charge wire should be hooked to clearance lights (brown wires) and AUX circuit (blue wire).If the blue wire is not available the stop light circuit can be utilized.

Why do I have a brake interlock?

To avoid pranks, operator error or the legs being lowered whilst the trailer may be in motion.

Can the Razor Electric Drive be operated from other points?

Yes, the Razor Electric Drive can be operated from either side of the trailer. In a situationof emergency the legs can be stopped by the Remote Panel. We can also supply, at anoptional cost, an additional panel that can be fitted to the front of, or anywhere, on the trailer.

What do I do if the Razor Battery is flat?

All the Razor products may be operated manually with the manual handle supplied. It islocated in the battery enclosure.

Will it operate in extreme climates?

Razor products have been designed to operate from -40°F to +120°F celcius However, to operatebelow -5°F does require a different battery model other than the standard unit.
