Razor Zoo Gate System

(ZD14)

Razor International and Zoos Victoria have partnered up to create a gate system with Razor technology.

Before Razor Systems were installed, zookeepers had to manually crank up heavy gates and doors for the animals to pass through. Now all is required is a simple button press and the Razor Drive Units open and close pathways for animals.

Razor Drive Unit is an electronic motor that raises or lowers at the touch of the button. It has undergone extensive testing and in-field trials to ensure its suitability for rigorous operating conditions with a lifting capacity of 25 tonnes.

Safety of the workers and animals is a huge priority, a Master Switch with a key activation has been installed in case of critical situations!

Another example of Razor finding a way to make a hard task easy!
